1. Information ForgeLane may receive
Depending on the interaction and approved project, ForgeLane may receive business and contact information, inquiry details, project requirements, schedules, budgets, communications, approvals, client-supplied content, and limited operational information needed for a contracted workflow.
Hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, request date and time, pages requested, errors, and security events. This information may be used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website.
Ordinary website forms and email are not designed to collect passwords, one-time codes, full payment-card or bank numbers, Social Security numbers, tax IDs, identity documents, or account-recovery secrets.
2. How information may be used
Information may be used to answer inquiries; prepare proposals, agreements, plans, and invoices; design, test, deliver, document, secure, and support approved work; maintain business records; and address misuse, security problems, or applicable obligations.
3. Client accounts and access
Production accounts should remain client-owned whenever practical. ForgeLane expects to use delegated access, role-based access, or an approved secure transfer method instead of asking a client to send a primary password. Clients remain responsible for approving production changes and controlling their users.
Available owner-authorized previews may connect an Instagram Business or Creator account, Facebook Pages the visitor manages, or the visitor's TikTok account. The visitor signs in directly with each platform and approves limited read-only profile and media access. These preview connections cannot publish posts or send messages, and ForgeLane does not receive the visitor's platform password.
The temporary preview may use an authorized profile biography and text from the social posts the visitor selects to assemble editable draft website copy. That draft is only a starting point: ForgeLane does not treat social text as a verified claim, and the business owner must review the copy before any website is published.
Personal Instagram profiles and personal Facebook profiles are not connected or scraped through the preview. A visitor may instead provide selected public post links for manual review or separately supply original files they own or are authorized to use. Private-profile content cannot be read through this route.
ForgeLane uses short-lived access tokens on the server only long enough to load the authorized account data, does not retain refresh tokens, and discards the tokens after the one-time import. Where the provider supports it, ForgeLane also attempts to revoke the one-time grant. Temporary connected-account metadata expires after one hour and can be deleted sooner with the disconnect controls.
If a visitor submits a Quick Launch request, the selected items, account labels, source links, and temporary provider-hosted media references are copied into the project intake so ForgeLane can prepare the requested draft. That submitted selection is a project record and is not deleted merely by disconnecting the temporary import. The visitor may request deletion of an eligible submitted record using the contact information below.
4. Providers and AI-assisted work
Approved providers may be used for hosting, forms, communications, scheduling, analytics, file storage, automation, AI-assisted functions, invoicing, payments, and security. A project involving AI should identify its purpose, relevant provider or client-owned account, data involved, human approval points, and a practical fallback.
Connected Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok media remains hosted by the applicable platform during the temporary preview. Those platforms may receive technical information such as the visitor's IP address, browser details, and interactions with provider-hosted content under their own terms and privacy practices. ForgeLane is not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms.
If a visitor chooses the public TikTok fallback, ForgeLane sends the public creator-profile address to TikTok's official embed service. This fallback does not prove account ownership and does not import reusable original media.
The preview does not permanently download or re-host original social-media files. A client who wants durable native website media must separately provide original files they own or are authorized to use. Public post links submitted through a project brief may be retained with that project record until an eligible deletion request is completed.
The public site may use necessary cookies or similar storage for security, authentication, and form functionality. ForgeLane does not currently use the public site for third-party advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate. Consequential financial, payroll, employment, legal, safety, or customer decisions require appropriate human review.
5. Retention, security, and requests
ForgeLane expects to retain project information only as reasonably needed for delivery, records, security, dispute handling, provider limitations, and applicable obligations. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed secure.
Questions, corrections, or eligible deletion requests may be sent to forgelaneautomation@gmail.com. ForgeLane may need to verify the requester and may be unable to change information controlled by a client, provider, backup, or recordkeeping requirement.
